Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced professional with a strong background in SAN administration, particularly with PowerMax (PMAX), Storage Provisioning, Zoning, and SRDF replication technologies. The ideal candidate will also have expertise in:

  • PMAX provisioning using Solution Enabler CLI
  • Brocade SAN switches and CMCNE management
  • Storage cloning, Unisphere, PowerPath, and FAST
  • Thin Provisioning, RAID configurations, and SAN troubleshooting
  • Performance management and VMware connectivity

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer and manage PowerMax (PMAX) and VMAX3 storage arrays.
  • Provision storage using Solution Enabler CLI and manage SAN migrations through SRDF.
  • Daily administration of Pure Storage systems.
  • Monitor and optimize the use and availability of storage resources.
  • Diagnose and resolve storage-related issues, both hardware and software.
  • Generate reports on storage usage and performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with service level agreements for storage allocation and availability.
  • Install and configure new and existing storage devices and associated software.
  • Allocate storage to users and development teams based on departmental needs.
  • Analyze storage performance, gather data, and prepare performance reports.
  • Work with vendors for troubleshooting, resolving hardware issues, and performance tuning.
  • Provide remote support during off-hours and weekends as needed.

Additional Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with NetBackup and TSM backup solutions is a significant advantage.
  • Scripting knowledge in Python and shell is .
  • Strong working knowledge of Brocade SAN switches and CMCNE is required.

Position Details and Requirements:

  • 50% remote work; residence in Montreal required
  • Fluency in English
