Job Summary

As a Route Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining strong customer relationships by having direct, face-to-face contact with Arc3's customers daily. You will deliver hard goods and gas cylinders and retrieve empty cylinders via truck on a scheduled route in Elizabeth City, NC. This physically demanding and time-sensitive job is rewarding as you earn customer trust by providing exceptional service. The work schedule is Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Safely and efficiently load, deliver, and unload hard goods and cylinders containing compressed gases, and retrieve empty cylinders.
  2. Maintain load manifests and all vehicle documents.
  3. Identify and monitor customer needs, maintaining their desired hard good and cylinder levels to minimize emergency deliveries.
  4. Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
  5. Strictly follow all safety, DOT, and OSHA regulations.
  6. Maintain appropriate driver’s licenses and endorsements.
  7. Keep the truck safe and clean inside and outside.
  8. Perform counter sales and assist customers in the store as needed.
  9. Handle warehouse duties including receiving, shipping, and paperwork.
  10. Fill cylinders in the pump room.
  11. Assist with inventory, housekeeping, showroom displays, and demonstrations.
  12. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Class B CDL with HazMat endorsement preferred.
  • Industry knowledge and experience handling compressed gases preferred.
  • Customer service or sales experience preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Meet physical standards for truck drivers.
  • Excellent communication, independence, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Good time-management skills.
  • Excellent driving record.
  • Ability to lift 25-75 lbs routinely, and over 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying temperatures.
  • Capability to perform climbing, balancing, kneeling, crawling, pushing, pulling, and bending activities.
  • Operate in a drug-free workplace.
