Job overview

The successful candidate will contribute to the development of a rapidly growing and expanding live production control system adaptable for use in workflows ranging from traditional broadcast studios to highly scalable IP-based facilities, and the growing field of streaming and cloud-based productions.

What the job entails:

  • User Interface design and implementation for Web UIs in Embedded/Server Linux, container, or similar environments.
  • Conversion of existing application UIs from current frameworks to HTML/Web-based implementations.
  • Developing new and extending UI features within existing application frameworks.
  • Creating interfaces that facilitate communication within and between modules.
  • Troubleshooting and debugging UIs and interactions with other system modules.
  • Estimating development tasks and project effort levels.
  • Participating in code design and code reviews.

Who you are:

  • 3-5 years minimum experience in UI and Web development.
  • Experience with embedded systems, single-board computers, or space-constrained environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux, command line tools, and scripting languages (e.g., bash).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, issue tracking (e.g., Jira), and version control systems (e.g., git).
  • Ability to estimate task and project durations accurately and drive projects to completion.
  • Problem-solving skills, ownership, pride in work, and creativity in overcoming challenges.
  • Flexible, adaptable, self-starting, and thriving in dynamic environments.
  • Strong communication skills and team collaboration.
  • Desirable additional skills include application software UI design, experience with frameworks like Qt, Gtk, Java Swing, knowledge of broadcast studio workflows, and programming in languages such as C, C++, Java, Go, Python.
  • Educational background: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields.
