In the role of Power Engineer, you'll be responsible for:
  • Coordinating the work of the power design team through schematic design development and contract document phases
  • Participating in meetings and reviews with governing agencies for code compliance
  • Managing workload to ensure timely delivery of project milestones
  • Conducting work sessions at project sites with the Project Manager and other disciplines
  • Reviewing project documents for conflicts with other disciplines
  • Writing and editing project specifications
  • Coordinating with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, change orders, and incorporating changes into documents
  • Providing construction contract administration as needed
  • Performing QA/QC on work by other engineers, coordinators, designers, or BIM technicians
  • Performing other duties as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Master's degree in Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in Substation communication
  • Experience with engineering consulting firms
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
  • Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license
  • Experience in project execution within the Power Market Sector
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Power Market Sector design software (e.g., PLS CAD, AutoCAD, Plant 3D, AutoPipe, Revit)
