Comanche Elementary School is seeking a qualified individual to fill a special education resource position.
Job Description: Provide special education math and reading students with on grade level math lessons in a small group setting. Additionally, develop or modify curricula and other instructional materials to address student ability levels in order to fill in skill gaps. Prepare goals, individual learning plans and attend ARDs.
Qualifications:
Valid Texas Teaching Certificate for special education (ESL certification a plus, but can be obtained during the school year, Reading Academy a plus as well)
This position is potentially eligible for the Teacher Incentive Allotment (TIA) program. The allotment provides funding to pay highly effective teachers whose students show measurable improvement in academic growth. The average allotment paid to those teachers who earn TIA designation is approximately $6,500-$23,500/year in addition to their regular salary.
