We are looking for a Senior Archaeologist/Project Manager to join WSP E&I Canada Limited, based out of any of our Ontario offices (e.g., Burlington, Toronto, Richmond Hill, Mississauga, Hamilton, London, Ottawa, Thunder Bay).

A Day in the Life:

As a Senior Archaeologist/Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing archaeological assessments in compliance with the Ontario Heritage Act and MCM guidelines.
  • Researching, preparing, and submitting proposals and reports for archaeological projects.
  • Overseeing project scope, budgets, schedules, and quality, and leading client and stakeholder communications.
  • Promoting health and safety within your projects and teams.
  • Providing technical review of reports to meet standards.
  • Coordinating resources and logistics for projects.
  • Mentoring archaeological staff.
  • Supporting business development activities.
  • Interacting with clients, government personnel, and Indigenous Nations.
  • Analyzing artifacts and interpreting data.
What You’ll Bring:
  • Professional archaeological license from MCM.
  • Master’s Degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field.
  • 10+ years of consulting archaeology experience in Ontario.
  • Knowledge of Ontario archaeology standards and guidelines.
  • Ability to deliver quality work under deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain security clearances.
  • Valid Canadian driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Expertise in Ontario historical periods or Indigenous material culture.
  • Membership with CAHP.
  • Experience managing archaeological resources on federal properties.
