Your mission

As Head of Product Development at Newtrax, you will lead the Business Unit Automation Newtrax offering development team, overseeing all product development to meet the requirements set by product management. You will play a key role in driving innovation and executing solutions tailored for the mining industry. Leading a talented cross-functional team of engineers and designers, you will conceptualize, develop, and deliver world-class products addressing the unique challenges faced by our clients in the mining sector.

You will ensure that the Newtrax offerings deliver the highest quality and customer satisfaction. Your responsibilities include steering team capabilities, strategic planning, continuous management to meet business objectives, collaborating on integration activities, and maintaining product competitiveness in the market.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that our products meet financial expectations aligned with the broader Business Unit strategy and growth plans. Supporting sales opportunities, monitoring industry trends, and participating in customer visits and demos are integral parts of your role.

Your Character

You are a strong, energetic leader with over 10 years of experience in relevant technology product development roles and hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as computer science or engineering. We seek a results-driven, hands-on individual with a creative, passionate approach to developing high-tech products in an industrial environment. Effective international networking, fluent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English are essential.

You can establish strong professional relationships with stakeholders at all levels, understand broader business needs, and find innovative solutions to complex problems. You work proactively and systematically in a fast-changing environment and are willing to travel domestically and internationally over 30% of the time.
