This position reports to the Pharmacy Manager and is responsible for receiving, preparing, and delivering Rx accurately and timely. Ensuring adequate inventory levels to meet patients’ needs, and counseling patients with appropriate documentation. Providing friendly, positive, and proactive interactions with all internal and external customers, creating awareness, and educating customers through public relations.

What You'll Do
  1. Prepare, dispense, and control medications accurately and timely to patients.
  2. Ensure medication and over-the-counter supplements inventory levels are adequate to meet patients’ needs.
  3. Counsel patients regarding new and additional medications in a friendly, positive, and proactive manner.
  4. Create awareness and educate customers through public relations activities (public health days, clinics, etc.).
  5. Provide timely and positive resolutions to patients’ needs and doctors’ requests/issues.
  6. Review and control costs at all levels within Loblaw Pharmacy (dispensary).
  7. Provide ongoing training for all new and existing pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, students, IPGs).
What You’ll Need
  1. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and a Class A Pharmacist license.
  2. Superior customer relations skills and a strong sense of professionalism.
  3. Excellent leadership and performance management skills.
  4. Proven ability to build the business using community-based marketing strategies.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills, including formulating and executing action plans.
  7. Strong personal computing skills, with knowledge of Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy systems considered an asset.
