Job description

Leading cost, project management and risk advisory firm has an immediate opening for an Associate Director position within the MEP Cost Planning division in Ottawa. Salary range is $130,000 - $160,000. You are an experienced Associate Director M&E with a minimum of10years of post-graduate experience looking for a new and exciting opportunity or a seasoned Senior Consultant ready for the next step. Outpost Recruitment is excited to work with our client on this full-time permanent role.

Role of Associate Director - MEP:
  • Lead and mentor an M&E cost management team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality M&E cost management services to our clients.
  • Develop new business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
  • Identify and act upon cross-selling opportunities.
  • Lead proposals for new work or variations for existing commissions.
  • Attend relevant networking events and promotional opportunities.
  • Participate in staff management, including recruitment interviews and performance reviews.
  • Oversee financial management, utilizing tools to track margin levels and maintain monthly fee/resource forecasts for each commission.
  • Deliver a high-quality end-to-end cost management service, including the production of cost estimates in the CIQS and Uniformat (Class D through Class A), value management, procurement advice and support, tender analysis, payment certification, and change management.
Education and Qualifications of Associate Director - MEP:
  • >10 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying and estimating, with a focus on M&E systems.
  • A recognized university degree
  • Certification in relevant professional organizations (PQS or MRICS)
  • Ability to quickly obtain Government of Canada security clearance (minimum Reliability Level).
  • Relevant experience in providing end-to-end cost management
  • Strong capability in quality assurance for deliverables.
