Job description

**Job Description:**

The Manager Digital Services position is a leadership role that oversees a team of technical caregivers, including software engineers, technical analysts, and scrum masters, to manage the Intermountain Health website. This role collaborates closely with Digital Technology Services and partners with Marketing, Consumer Experience, and Operations to achieve regional and system-wide digital objectives.

**Essential Functions:**

  1. Ensure completion of software development lifecycle activities, including design, reviews, testing, build, and release management.
  2. Oversee agile processes and ceremonies, adopting best practices and enterprise standards.
  3. Work with the design team to document technical architecture and implementation requirements.
  4. Develop and assess digital workplans aligned with enterprise objectives, business plans, and user needs.
  5. Implement and manage digital workplans, overseeing team work and capacity.
  6. Continuously improve website performance based on consumer and caregiver insights and data.
  7. Prioritize and drive multiple projects independently and collaboratively.
  8. Manage complex, matrixed digital projects from concept to launch, measuring results against business needs.
  9. Build stakeholder relationships to support digital objectives.
  10. Assist in scoping and evaluating digital projects for operational and strategic fit.
  11. Support budget management.
  12. Spend up to 25% of time coding or developing custom software.

**Required:**

  • Experience in digital, software engineering, or technical product management roles

  • Experienced coder capable of delivering software features and fixes on time

**Preferred:**

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Leadership experience with technical teams
  • Expertise in React or similar JavaScript frameworks and proficiency in C#

**Physical Requirements:**

  • Verbal communication with colleagues and clients
  • Manual dexterity for manipulating equipment and frequent computer use
