Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

This position is responsible for processing payments received manually and electronically into Funds Transfer System, as part of an essential business unit within Global Services.

Receives, investigates, and responds to all customer inquiries and complaints regarding banking products and services; processes basic bank service transactions. Applies experience and complete working knowledge of the job and policies/practices to perform a combination of routine tasks and varied administrative/operational assignments.

What will you do?

  1. Responsible for the timely and accurate processing and verification of payments, as per hourly requirements, utilizing all available tools and resources, e.g., SRF, Unit Directory, Broadcast Messages, CPA Banks/Trust/Credit Directories, co-workers, etc.
  2. Ensures all required fields on payments being repaired are completed and formatted properly.
  3. Enter, repair, and verify payments in Funds Transfer in strict accordance with SWIFT, LYNX, CPA, FED, CHIPS, industry guidelines, and RBC policies.
  4. Ensures all assigned queues are cleared to meet established deadlines and displays flexibility to work occasional overtime and support US coverage as necessary.
  5. Mitigates operational, financial, and reputational risk through workflow prioritization and awareness of cut-off times and responsibilities.
  6. Adheres to overall business KPI requirements of 12.5 errors per month, keeping errors to a minimum.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 2-4 years’ experience in a financial services environment.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Fluent with Microsoft Office suite and technologically independent.
  • Shift flexibility (evenings, weekends, statutory holidays as required).
  • In-depth knowledge of day-to-day payments processing procedures.
  • Teamwork and cooperation skills.
