Job Title : Senior Full Stack Developer, Engine Squad

Location : Montreal - Hybrid (1-2 days at the office per week)

Position overview

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end design, development, and rollout of initiatives, demonstrating technical competency and leadership.
• Lead efforts in data analytics, unstructured data processing, and DOM operations to ensure data-driven, performant products.
• Collaborate with Product Managers to iterate rapidly, balancing technical innovation with business priorities, discussing trade-offs, and proposing well-reasoned technical designs.
• Promote a hack-and-research approach within the squad, testing and iterating on ideas to meet business goals, with flexibility to pivot as priorities shift.
• Mentor developers, onboard new team members, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with strategic initiatives, proactively identifying risks and solutions.
• Maintain simplicity and long-term maintainability in work, considering codebase and user experience implications.

Requirements

• B.S. or M.S in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 6-8+ years of Fullstack development experience, especially with backend technologies like NodeJS and MongoDB.
• Deep understanding of modern frameworks and technologies, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality, performant web applications.
• Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex technical challenges pragmatically.
• Experience leading and mentoring developers, with a focus on improving codebase and product quality.
• Comfort with rapid iteration and project pivots.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with product managers and stakeholders.
