Key Responsibilities:

  • Full-Cycle Bookkeeping:Manage client files with daily, weekly, and monthly services.
  • Accounts Receivable:Process invoices, post payments, follow up on overdue accounts, and provide monthly reports.
  • Bank & Credit Card Reconciliation:Ensure accuracy of financial data.
  • Accounts Payable:Process vendor payments and reimbursements, and provide monthly reports.
  • Client Communication:Maintain professional communication with clients, vendors, and customers.
  • General Ledger Reconciliation:Perform monthly reconciliations, resolving discrepancies using Excel.
  • Payroll Management:Process bi-weekly & semi-monthly payrolls, prepare year-end forms (T4 & T4A slips), and ROEs.
  • Government Remittances:Prepare GST, PST, WCB, EHT, and payroll source deduction working papers.
  • Year-End Preparation:Assist with year-end working papers for submission to the accountant.
  • Deadline Management:Ensure timely completion of tasks and reports.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience:At least 5 years of current bookkeeping experience, preferably in a multi-client or fast-paced environment.
  • Accounting Knowledge:Solid understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Software Skills:Proficiency with:
  • QuickBooks Online (2 years current experience required).
  • Sage 50 (2 years current experience required).
  • Sage 300 (1 year current experience required).
  • Dext (1 year current experience required).
  • Microsoft Office 365.
  • Attention to Detail:High accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Organizational Skills:Ability to manage priorities effectively.
  • Time Management:Exceptional ability to meet deadlines.
  • Independence:Confidence working with minimal supervision.
  • Education:Bachelor Degree in Accounting.
