Job description

Reporting to the General Manager of Business Operations, the Manager of Game Presentation for the Moncton Wildcats will play a key role in overseeing the entire creative and operational approach to in-game entertainment at the Avenir Centre.This individual will manage a team of game-night staff and will be charged with ensuring that the organization stands among the QMJHL’s best for all show elements, content, and crowd engagement initiatives featured throughout the season.

Qualifications
  • High degree of familiarity with trends and successes of show elements at sporting events and concerts – pregame openers, in-act technical elements (screens & lighting effects), crowd activations, etc.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal, written and public relations skills
  • Formal post-secondary credentials in hospitality, entertainment, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Independent, creative problem-solver.
  • Ability to work in large groups
  • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
  • Effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms (French would be considered an asset)
  • Proficient knowledge ofShoFlo (Game Presentation Software) would be preferred but not required, Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook
  • Effectively interact and communicate with all levels of management, suppliers, guests and visitors
  • Multi-task and problem solve in a fast-paced environment
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of in-game entertainment, including planning, managing, and directing live in-arena production for all Moncton Wildcats home games.
  • Responsible for all game entertainment at home games and special events, including but not limited to game scripting, in-arena promotions, LED/video selection, special presentations and ceremonies, live entertainment, and talent bookings
  • Collaborate and work in conjunction with staff that manage audio, video, graphic, animation, games, lights, cameras, replays and live entertainment
  • Collaborate and work in conjunction with sponsorships, ticketing, arena operations, retail, hospitality, public/media relations, and broadcast to ensure all contractual elements are delivered in-house and adhere to company excellence standards.
  • Assist with writing public announcer (PA) scripts and game formats for all home games and events
  • Produce show details for each game (via ShoFlosoftware) that accounts for all marketing,partnership, brand items, etc. items at every game.
  • Manage mascot in-arena hosts and other game talent, directing all scheduling, costume and act logistics
  • Implement strategic plan for Game Entertainment; develop and manage event budgets
  • Oversee concourse entertainment, including musicians, organist, face painters, etc.
  • Serve as the team liaison with arena management and operations staff; main point of contact for Off Ice Officials, ensuring they have the equipment and tools they need on a nightly basis.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
  • Manage and approve hours of part-time event staff
  • Closely manages game presentation team to ensure synchronization of all initiatives
