Job Responsibilities:

1. Creates 3D character rigs and animation interface controls for skeletal motion systems and body/facial deformations.
2. Knowledgeable in writing utility scripts and core software tools to streamline the character setup process.
3. Accountable for meeting schedules and show deadlines.
4. Participates in dailies, rounds, and team reviews of work in progress.
5. Interacts with production, supervisors, and team/peers to problem solve and share information related to show/assigned tasks.
6. Deciphers and follows through on work in progress, dailies, briefings/notes, and feedback.
7. Works efficiently as part of a team or independently on rigging projects.

Qualifications:

1. Knowledge of applicable software platforms including LINUX, UNIX, Maya, Mudbox, shell, and MEL scripting language; Python is a plus.
2. Background or experience in fine art accompanied with a thorough understanding of physical motion, weight, balance, and form is highly desired.
3. 3+ years production experience; feature film experience is highly desirable.

The anticipated base salary for a Senior position is $45.34 to $65.10/hr. The actual base salary offered will depend on various factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education, certifications, or other professional licenses held, and the location of the position.
