Wage : $154.80 / day

What do you offer?

The Otonabee Overnight Camp Counsellor implements and facilitates the delivery of quality recreational programs, services, and experiences to children and youth aged 4 to 16 enrolled at Camp Otonabee. The Overnight Camp Counsellor ensures that children and youth have a positive experience leading to personal growth through fun and rewarding recreation and sport programs.

Responsibilities :

  • Leading and participating in all programs.
  • Delivering programming based on skill level and age of participants.
  • Delivering day and overnight camp programs to assigned camper group.
  • Completing all necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Being responsible for the safety, supervision, and security of all participants.
  • Developing and maintaining an open, constructive, and professional relationship with program participants, caregivers, volunteers, co-workers, and supervisors.

Qualifications :

  • Applicants must be 17 years old by June 23, 2025.
  • Applicants must have a current Standard First Aid and CPR "C" certification.
  • Applicants must already have a valid permit to work in Canada.
  • A Police Record check, not more than 6 months old is required.
  • Semi-annually, staff must complete the mandatory training for the protection of Children & Youth.
