Join their team of service experts and highly trained Field Service Technicians, who operate coast-to-coast across Canada. Technicians are equipped with top tools and ongoing training to deliver outstanding customer service.

They are currently hiring an experienced Field Service Technician with food manufacturing and packaging experience to install, repair, and maintain equipment. The role involves travel to client facilities, requiring willingness to travel 50%, and residence near an airport, preferably in the Toronto to Hamilton region.

As a customer-focused technical expert, the Field Service Technician will troubleshoot and repair equipment, continually learn, and strengthen client relationships. Extensive training will be provided to ensure your success in delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities:

  1. Address customer needs and service equipment.
  2. Interpret diagrams, schematics, specifications, and manuals to determine best practices.
  3. Diagnose and isolate problems through troubleshooting.
  4. Assist customers with parts identification and quotes.
  5. Resolve issues and restore equipment to optimal condition.
  6. Document reports and expenses regularly.
  7. Support sales team and communicate effectively.
  8. Manage parts inventory and returns.
  9. Participate in safety and performance improvement projects.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. Field service experience with troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical machinery.
  2. Experience building trust and relationships with customers.
  3. Practical knowledge of mechanical and electrical engineering principles.
  4. Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, conveyor, or control systems.
  5. Strong communication skills and computer proficiency.
  6. Experience with food processing or automation machinery is highly desirable.
  7. Industrial Electrical certification is an asset.
  8. Ability to travel to the USA and hold a valid passport.
  9. Team-oriented attitude and collaborative spirit.

Compensation & Schedule:

  1. $90,000 - $110,000 annually.
  2. Comprehensive benefits, monthly car allowance plus $0.24/km, annual bonus, three weeks paid vacation, parking, and sick days.
  3. Initial two months of training.
  4. Annual company training trip.
