We’re looking for an Assistant Manager for our Shoe Co. banner who will put their best foot forward.

As an Assistant Manager, you will report to the Store Manager and assist in leading the store environment, which fosters inclusivity and diverse customer connections. In this role, you will be responsible for coaching and leading the team to achieve store objectives, including in-store sales, web orders, recruiting, performance management, training, and development. Your ability to problem solve, thrive in a fast-paced environment, lead a dynamic team, collaborate, and execute operational excellence will be key to your success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assume leadership role with accountability for maximizing store results by creating exceptional customer experiences.
  • Facilitate achievement of business results by role modeling a shopping experience that encourages responsive customer service, compelling merchandise presentation, and operational integrity to foster customer loyalty.
  • Lead operational aspects including policies, procedures, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling.
  • Recruit, manage, develop, and train top talent passionate about shoes.
  • Achieve company objectives and enhance The Shoe Co. brand image by embodying our values of Passion, Accountability, Collaboration, and Authenticity/Humility.
  • Develop and implement agile business plans to meet targets.
  • Foster teamwork, collaboration, and change advocacy within the store and district.
  • Maintain open communication lines with the Store Manager.
Qualifications
  • Proven success in achieving sales and profitability targets.
  • Proficiency in computer use, including email, MS Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while delivering a compelling customer experience.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a progressive retail supervisory role.
  • Availability to work days, evenings, weekends, and closing shifts.
