The Role

The Manager of Commercial Servicing and Administration is responsible for managing and supervising the department to ensure optimal service, efficiency, and effectiveness by adhering to policies and procedures, meeting compliance and control requirements, and achieving service goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Review and approve various financial transactions including Advances, Discharges, and PPSA renewals.
  2. Support the Senior Manager with commercial servicing transactions and monthly remittances.
  3. Assist the syndication team with partner remittances and inquiries.
  4. Ensure timely follow-up and task completion by team members.
  5. Prioritize and assign tasks to maintain quality and timeliness.
  6. Maintain high customer service levels.
  7. Prepare reports for senior management.
  8. Motivate and support team development through training, performance reviews, and meetings.
  9. Promote team engagement and core values.
  10. Participate in management and department meetings, and special projects.
  11. Assist with reporting and implementing procedures to ensure compliance with lending and regulatory requirements.
  12. Ensure files are compliant before disbursement of funds.
  13. Support department initiatives and projects, including platform implementations.
  14. Create complex Excel spreadsheets and perform account reconciliations.
  15. Communicate with external and internal stakeholders to provide optimal service and maintain relationships.
  16. Assist with reporting and compliance within the Credit & Risk Department.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years’ mortgage experience, preferably with management experience.
  • Expertise in Commercial and specialized finance, servicing products.
  • Good understanding of commercial real estate, legal documentation, and AML/ATF regulations.
  • Post-secondary education in accounting or related field.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Athena, and PPLUS.
  • Ability to build complex Excel models.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
  • French bilingual preferred.
