Growing rapidly, this innovative company is looking to hire a number of technical consultants to work in a permanent capacity (they will not consider contractors and therefore they will provide salary, bonus and full benefit package).

You will be responsible for gathering requirements, providing solutions, and developing the desired application on one of two platforms: MS SharePoint or BEA Portal (formerly Plumtree Portal) using web technologies (ASP.NET, XML, AJAX). A key element of this role is to have the flexibility to work on Java projects, so experience with Java is required.

Our client’s engagements are no shorter than three months. Therefore, you’ll be provided with an executive apartment, rental car (if necessary), and a per diem for expenses. You will be flown home every other weekend (or you can fly somewhere else for fun, like Vegas if you’re situated in the US Southwest for example). After eight months of service, you will be eligible to fly home every weekend.

Career Progression:

If you’re highly motivated and successful, you can move into a Level II technical role with this organization within eight months to one year. In addition to continuing web integration, you might also now be responsible for application implementations and administration. In addition, our client will now fly you home (or elsewhere for fun) every weekend and they’ll give you a raise. By year three, you should be at a Technical Consultant Level III and your compensation could be approaching or over $100k.

Training:

Training is paid for by our client (online & on-site) and only candidates that demonstrate the required skills thereafter will be awarded with the opportunity to join our client’s elite team.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Canadian or US Citizenship Required (for TN visa eligibility)
  2. Personal and/or professional experience with Java
  3. Personal and/or professional experience in Web Development (ASP.NET/C#) or recent University Computer Science or Engineering graduate with demonstrated homemade applications!
  4. Excellent communication skills: ability to conduct presentations, provide feedback in meetings and present solutions to customers & stakeholders.
  5. Web programming using one or more of CSS, DHTML, AJAX, JavaScript.
  6. Knowledge of RDBMS, tools and concepts such as SQL Server, stored procedures.
  7. .NET experience and/or knowledge.

Desired Qualifications & Skills:

  1. User interface / user experience design experience.
  2. Extremely outgoing personality and a willingness to learn.
  3. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  4. Enterprise Integration experience an asset but not required (training provided).

Education:

  1. University degree or equivalent (Computer Science or Engineering background preferred) or
  2. 3 years of relevant experience plus two-year college diploma in computers or
  3. 5 years of relevant experience with no diploma.
