Job description

O'Sullivan Animal Hospital in Barrie, ON, welcomes a Veterinary Receptionist, Client Care Coordinator to join our team! This is an exceptional full-time opportunity for an organized, motivated, and empathetic individual to support our hospital operations. In this role, you will help our clients and their pets feel welcomed and appreciated.

  1. Excellent customer service skills; a real aptitude for putting pets and pet parents at ease and creating a welcoming environment.
  2. Ability to answer a multiline phone system and effectively track and book appointments.
  3. Scheduling appointments; admitting and discharging pet patients.
  4. Invoicing / billing; creating estimates and processing payments.
  5. Take initiative and work independently.
  6. A Veterinary Assistant (VA) or Veterinary Assistant Office Administration (VAOA) program certificate is an asset.
  7. General housekeeping duties; maintaining cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas.
  8. Willingness to learn more about veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and to assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments.
  9. A love for all companion animals!
