Background & Purpose of the Job

We are looking for a Seasonal Sanitation Technician at our Ice Cream Manufacturing factory in Simcoe, Ontario. Our factory produces brand names such as Breyers, Ben & Jerry's, Magnum, Klondike, Popsicle, Wall's!

In this role, you will work under the direction of the Sanitation Supervisor to ensure a high level of sanitation and hygiene for all production areas.

Who You Are & What You’ll Do
  • Clean and sanitize production areas
  • Maintain close communication with maintenance (Mechanics and Electricians), Process Operators, and Packaging Technicians
  • Ensure that all machine safety guards are in place and operational
  • Ensure compliance with all plant safety rules
  • Support quality and food safety programs including HACCP and FSCC-22000
  • Lead 5S activities and support the overall TPM agenda
  • Participate in focused improvements and be an active member of a cell team responsible for safety, quality, waste reduction, and efficiency of production lines
What You’ll Need to Succeed
  • High School Diploma
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of WHMIS
  • HACCP training (preferred)
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret relevant documents
