Licensed Optician - Rexdale, ON - LensCrafters

The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish LensCrafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Welcome all customers, set expectations with customers.
  2. Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescription in lenses.
  3. Acts as a leader in optical acumen.
  4. Take & record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs.
  5. Assists team with complex product needs and prescriptions.
  6. Accurate and thorough use of technology despite time pressure and customer volume, exceptional product knowledge, use of appropriate tools.
  7. Proactive, explores root cause of issues, forward thinking, ensures customers are satisfied and expectations are exceeded, solution driven.
  8. Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time with competing priorities.
  9. Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies.
  10. Take pride in store appearance, help to keep store clean, attractive and organized.
  11. Inform management of safety opportunities; demonstrates safe work practices.
  12. Resourceful, self-motivated with a desire for continual learning, improvement and results.
  13. Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions and inventory management.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. High School graduate or equivalent.
  2. State Licensure.
  3. Optical dispensing experience.
  4. Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder.
  5. Knowledge of current store merchandise.
  6. Strong basic math skills.
  7. Aware of current fashion trends.
  8. Selling skills – ability to use and carry an iPAD/tablet.
  9. Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators.
  10. Embrace new technology and change.

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
