Sales Manager

Agilus is recruiting for a Sales Manager in the Steel industry in Edmonton, Alberta. The Sales Manager will be tasked with supervising team training, evaluating performance, and monitoring sales metrics.

A typical day:

• Establish a routine for the Sales team to consistently engage with customers
• Collaborate with the central office regarding the pricing strategy
• Monitor inventory levels
• Lead and motivate the sales team
• Develop and implement sales strategies as well as setting and achieving sales targets
• Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to identify opportunities
• Prepare and present weekly sales reports to management

Successful candidates will have:

• 8+ years of sales experience plus at least 3+ years of management experience
• Experience with reading and understanding Mill Test reports and Customer Specifications will be an asset
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Collaborative and willingness to coach the team as needed
• Excellent computer skills
• Must have steel manufacturing background, oil and gas (downstream) or Mill test report experience
• Organizing and multitasking, critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Flexible as travel is required
