Description

Our client is well-known in the industry, and they want you to be one of their Senior Underwriters for one of their P&C teams.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead underwriting decisions on new business and renewals, including pricing and policy terms
  • Grow existing book of business and develop new broker relationships through networking and market visits
  • Provide market intelligence and strategic insights to management
  • Participate in industry events, broker meetings, and product development initiatives
  • Train and mentor junior underwriters and provide underwriting sign-off as needed

What we are looking for:

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Proven ability to work independently and as a team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Proven track record of building successful broker relationships
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Level 1 General Insurance license
  • Professional designation preferred (CAIB, CIP, CRM, FCIP or in progress)
