The Opportunity: Junior Draftsperson

Casual position, based out of Whitehorse, Yukon.

Who we are : At Yukon Energy, we play a pivotal role as the primary generator and transmitter of electrical energy in the territory. Nestled within the Traditional Territory of Yukon First Nations, our operations span across 14 distinct First Nations, reflecting our commitment to honoring and working collaboratively within these rich cultural landscapes.

What will you do : Join a collaborative, team ‑ based drafting environment at Yukon Energy. As a Junior Draftsperson, you will:

• Produce and Maintain Detailed Design Drafts: Use CADD and manual drafting systems to create, update and archive technical drawings with precision.
• Manage Computerized Records: Ensure all electronic records—including legal plans for Yukon Energy lands—are accurate, current and fully documented.
• Enforce Corporate Drafting Standards: Adhere to and apply corporate drafting policies and procedures to guarantee consistency and compliance across all design documentation.
  
  

What You Need To Succeed

• Technical diploma in drafting, or engineering technology with a drafting focus with several years of related experience.
• Knowledge of computerized software applications (MicroStation, AutoCAD, Excel, Microsoft Office, SharePoint).
• Strong client service orientation with good organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team and cross-cultural environment.
• A valid First Aid certificate would be considered an asset.

Competitive Compensation : $40.32-$48.14 per hour.
