Qualifications

  • Must have 2+ years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is required.

We are seeking calm, decisive individuals with an interest in healthcare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask. Bring your call-centre or customer service experience to BC Emergency Health Services and make a difference.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support during 911 emergency calls, gathering vital information and coordinating with dispatch, paramedics, and hospitals.
  • Maintain professionalism in high-pressure situations, prioritize tasks, and communicate clearly.
  • Build relationships with team members and callers, seeking solutions and managing conflicts professionally.
Qualifications
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certificates (must be obtained before training)
  • 2+ years customer service experience; call centre experience is an asset
  • Fluent in English, both spoken and written
  • Minimum typing speed of 30 WPM
Additional Skills & Knowledge
  • Understanding of Indigenous issues, reconciliation efforts, and related reports (TRC, BC DRIPA, etc.)
Skills & Assessment

Candidates will complete an online CritiCall assessment, testing keyboarding, listening, and reading comprehension skills. Typing practice can be found at typingtest.com.
