Job description

Carlisle Weatherproofing Technologies (CWT) is a leading supplier of building envelope solutions that effectively drive energy efficiency and sustainability in commercial and residential applications. We are looking for an EH&S Coordinator to support our safety activities and teammates in our Lachine, Mirabel, and Dorval facilities. We are seeking a candidate located in the Montreal, Quebec area.

Job Summary:

This position will be responsible for coordinating safety activities across the Lachine, Mirabel, and Dorval facilities. This includes implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving the facilities' safety and health policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the safety program and initiate improvements to enhance safety levels.
  2. Review and update safety policies and procedures to align with company goals and comply with local, provincial, and federal regulations.
  3. Ensure all new employees are properly trained.
  4. Review safety-related documents such as Safety Committee minutes, inspection reports, accident investigation reports, and near-miss reports.
  5. Maintain liaison with management and outside regulatory agencies according to company policy and statutory guidelines.
  6. Chair the safety committee meetings.
  7. Keep records of employee training, unsafe condition corrections, inspections, and submit documentation to the corporate office.
  8. Conduct and document weekly, monthly, and yearly safety inspections.
  9. Manage hazardous material checks and maintain SDS logbooks.
  10. Travel between sites as required.
  11. Collaborate with Site Leadership to maintain Emergency Action Plans and Safety Plans, and track assessments and audits.

Required Skills / Abilities / Knowledge:

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in both French and English.
  • Computer proficiency, including SAP knowledge.
  • Basic mathematics skills.
  • Knowledge of CNESST regulations and plant safety procedures.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Understanding of quality control processes.

Working Conditions:

Significant time on the production floor, exposure to extreme temperatures. Work hours are Monday – Friday, 7 am – 4 pm, with some overtime.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma required; college degree preferred. Minimum of three years of relevant experience.
