Job description

Seeking a Medical Director of Primary Care and Outpatient Medicine, reporting to the Chief Medical Officer. The role oversees outpatient care, guides medical directors of quality for primary care, facilitates office flow, addresses clinical aspects, and supervises outpatient medical practitioners.

The Primary Care Medical Director will dedicate approximately 12 hours per week (1/3 of scheduled time) to administrative responsibilities and 28 hours per week (2/3 of time) as a primary care clinician. The position involves collaborative work within the healthcare team at the Health Centers and Hospital.

Responsibilities:
  • Full-time outpatient role with leadership/Division Chair potential.
  • Minimum 5 years of outpatient primary care practice.
  • Commitment to practicing within the community.
  • Interest in EMR optimization, implementation, and best practice strategies, alongside direct patient care.
  • Monday through Friday, 8-5 schedule.
  • 28 hours of patient contact weekly; 12 administrative hours (flexible, more with Division Chair role).
  • Community call duties (including nursing home patients) TBD.
  • Use of Meditech Expanse EMR and Dragon dictation.
  • Supported by RN Team leader and MA.
  • Strong IT and Marketing support to enhance patient volume.
  • Experience with RHCs preferred.
