The University of Toronto is seeking a dynamic Chief Information Officer (CIO) to spearhead its digital transformation and strategically drive innovation across research, teaching, and administration. The CIO will lead the University’s digital strategy, ensuring that cutting-edge technology solutions support and elevate U of T’s mission of creating knowledge and educating leaders. Overseeing a complex IT ecosystem that enables world-class research, fosters digital learning, and strengthens administrative efficiency, the CIO collaborates with academic and administrative leaders to integrate technology into every aspect of the University’s operations.

Success in this role requires a forward-thinking and inclusive approach to technology leadership. The ideal candidate will have a track record of success across the areas of cybersecurity, digital infrastructure, and advanced computing, and demonstrate the ability to continue a culture of trust, collaboration, and adaptability. By staying ahead of emerging trends and ensuring that IT investments align with the University’s long-term vision, the CIO will play a pivotal role in shaping the digital future of higher education.
