Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline from an accredited post-secondary institution.
- P.Eng. in good standing with APEGS (Candidates who are the right fit and registered as an Engineer-in-Training may be considered).
- 3 to 4 years of relevant experience.
- Experience delivering detailed designs and audits of modern HVAC systems and process heating systems, including commercial hydronic heating and cooling systems, heat pumps, high-efficiency boilers, heat exchangers, wastewater heating systems, and low carbon and district energy systems.
- Experience conducting feasibility studies on various energy projects.
- Experience with writing specifications and conducting specification reviews.
- Knowledge of ASME B31.1, B31.3, and B31.9 piping design guidelines.
- Experience with pressure piping registration as per the National Safety Code.
- Proficiency with pipe design software (such as PASS / START Prof), AutoCAD, Revit, or other modeling tools.
- Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
- Ability to work as part of a team and be a committed team player.
- Enthusiasm for bringing in new clients and projects.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced consulting environment, managing multiple projects and clients.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Possession of a valid class 5 driver's license.
- Availability to travel as required.
- Experience with instrumentation and controls is an asset.
