Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Contract Administrator to join our team! In this role you will get to focus on the management, administration, and compliance of contracts throughout the project lifecycle.

POSITION OVERVIEW: The Contract Administrator is responsible for managing and administering contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all contractual obligations are met, risks are minimized, and any issues or disputes are resolved in a timely manner.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Prepares, reviews, and manages contracts, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and project requirements.
  2. Coordinates with internal teams, clients, and contractors to clarify contract terms and ensure all parties understand their responsibilities and obligations.
  3. Monitors the progress of contracts, ensuring that work is being completed in accordance with the agreed-upon terms, scope, and schedule.
  4. Identifies and addresses contract-related issues, such as disputes, non-compliance, or changes in scope, and works to resolve them promptly.
  5. Manages contract amendments, variations, and extensions, ensuring that all necessary documentation is properly executed.
  6. Works with legal and project management teams to evaluate risks and recommend strategies for minimizing contractual risks throughout the project.
  7. Ensures that all necessary contract-related documentation, including progress reports, invoices, and change orders, is properly tracked, filed, and archived.
  8. Prepares and submits regular contract performance reports, tracking key metrics and providing updates to senior management.
  9. Supports negotiations for new contracts and changes to existing contracts, ensuring that terms are favorable for the company and aligned with project goals.
  10. Provides guidance and training to project teams on contract administration processes and best practices.
  11. Ensures compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies in all contract-related activities.
  12. Performs other duties as required to support the overall success of contract administration on projects.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Law, or a related field
  2. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in contract management, administration, or legal roles, with a focus on large-scale projects
  3. Knowledge of contract law, procurement processes, and contract management systems

SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:

  1. Strong knowledge of contract terms, conditions, and legal implications
  2. Excellent organizational, negotiation, and communication skills
  3. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to address contract-related issues
  4. Ability to manage multiple contracts and ensure compliance with timelines and requirements
  5. Proficiency in contract management software and project management tools (e.g., SAP, MS Project, Primavera)
