Supervision of Staff
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff, including housekeepers, room attendants, and cleaners.
- Assign daily tasks to housekeeping staff and ensure they are performed efficiently.
- Train new housekeeping staff and provide ongoing coaching and development.
- Monitor employee performance and address any issues or concerns.
Cleaning and Maintenance Oversight
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness, orderliness, and maintenance, ensuring they meet the facility's standards.
- Ensure proper cleaning methods are followed to maintain health and safety regulations.
- Oversee the replenishment of guest amenities, towels, linens, and other items in guest rooms.
Inventory Management
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of cleaning supplies, equipment, linens, and guest room amenities.
- Order cleaning supplies and linens when needed, and ensure they are stored properly.
Guest Satisfaction
- Address guest complaints or special requests related to housekeeping services, ensuring quick resolution and high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Ensure that any lost and found items are handled according to the property's procedures.
Health and Safety Compliance
- Ensure that all cleaning activities adhere to health and safety guidelines, including the use of proper cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment for all team members.
Team Leadership and Communication
- Foster a positive and professional team environment, motivating staff to deliver high-quality service.
- Communicate effectively with other departments, such as maintenance and front desk, to coordinate services and resolve issues.
Administrative Tasks
- Assist with scheduling and timekeeping for the housekeeping team.
- Track and report staff attendance and performance.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on housekeeping activities and department performance.
