The Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System seeks an Organizational Improvement Specialist to lead quality improvement and organizational development initiatives. This full-time role involves project management, collaboration with diverse stakeholders, and enhancing child welfare learning opportunities. Job Summary:
The Wisconsin Child Welfare Professional Development System (WCWPDS) offers a comprehensive, statewide array of professional learning opportunities aimed at enhancing the competence of the child welfare workforce and caregivers, ultimately improving safety, permanence, and well-being outcomes for children and families in Wisconsin. The WCWPDS collaborates to develop and provide various learning formats— asynchronous, synchronous, and blended— to county, tribal, and state child welfare partners across Wisconsin. Position Overview:
As an Organizational Improvement Specialist with WCWPDS, you will be part of a dedicated team advancing high-quality, innovative learning for public child welfare professionals and caregivers statewide. You will serve as a leader in quality improvement and organizational development within Wisconsin's Child Welfare Professional Development system.
This role requires independent and team work in applying organizational and process improvement strategies that guide organizations through change. Strong project management, facilitation, and communication skills are essential, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with internal staff, state and local partners, and tribal child welfare leaders in developing, implementing, and evaluating improvement projects.
This position reports to the Associate Director of WCWPDS.

Education Requirements:
Required: Bachelor's Degree in Sociology, Psychology, Social Work, Human Services, Human Ecology, Education, Business, or related fields. An advanced degree and experience in public administration or organizational development are advantageous.
Qualifications:
Required: Experience managing multiple projects, facilitating groups through change, excellent communication skills, teamwork in diverse environments, knowledge of organizational improvement models (e.g., PDSA, Lean Six Sigma), and skills in data analysis and project development.
Preferred: Experience in strategic planning, certification in quality improvement or change management, knowledge of adult learning, and resource development for professionals.
Additional Skills: Ability to interpret instructions, represent WCWPDS professionally, exercise good judgment, and handle physical requirements such as transporting training materials.
Work Details:
Full-time, with some in-person work required at a designated campus location; remote work possible.
Appointment Type & Duration: Ongoing/Renewable
Salary: Minimum $48,107 annually, with a range depending on qualifications and experience. Benefits include vacation, holidays, insurance, retirement, etc.
