Senior Project Manager - Commercial RoofingTecta America Southeast, located in the Atlanta office in Cumming, Georgia, is seeking a Senior Commercial Roofing Project Manager. Position Objective

Estimate, manage, coordinate, and supervise construction processes from development through completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Coordinate planning, scheduling, bid solicitation, review, and procurement negotiations in line with departmental schedules, company policies, and sound roofing practices. The Senior Project Manager also oversees the Project Management Department and staff, including supervision, workflow management, and departmental representation.

Job Functions

  1. Oversee the Project Management Department, coordinate workflow and responsibilities.
  2. Manage multiple projects concurrently, providing project management services.
  3. Assist with collections and final payments as needed.
  4. Assess bid specifications and project completion feasibility within specified timelines.
  5. Provide direction on construction schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control.
  6. Gather property and building information to integrate construction with existing building systems.
  7. Support negotiation of design-build contracts and subcontracts.
  8. Prepare and issue purchase orders, subcontracts, and other contractual documents.
  9. Supervise consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure compliance with project requirements, costs, design, and schedules.
  10. Resolve complex construction issues and disputes.
  11. Develop and monitor staff performance related to construction projects.
  12. Review change orders and assess their impact on budgets.
  13. Monitor project status concerning schedule and cost controls.
  14. Verify applications for payment and oversee fiscal management of projects.
  15. Ensure all work is approved by relevant parties and complies with regulations.
  16. Maintain insurance and permits for contractors.
  17. Conduct meetings, document project progress, and delegate responsibilities.
  18. Become familiar with project documents, drawings, and specifications.
  19. Perform site visits to monitor progress and compliance.
  20. Manage submittals, shop drawings, and approval processes.
  21. Maintain project records and correspondence.
  22. Review and approve invoices and change orders.
  23. Distribute project documentation upon completion.
  24. Enforce contractual agreements and contribute to reporting and forecasting.
  25. Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential)

  • High School diploma
  • 4+ years in roofing project management
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project
  • OSHA 30 training
  • Valid driver's license, ability to climb ladders, and comfort with heights
  • Positive management and mentorship skills

Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Desirable)

  • Bachelor's degree in construction or engineering
  • Blueprint reading and practical construction knowledge
  • Estimating experience
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus
