Job Title: Temp Sandblaster/Raw Painter - Continental Night
Job Description

Join our team as a Temp Sandblaster/Raw Painter where you will be responsible for sandblasting epoxy and metal parts, cross-training on painting, and moving barrels of sand and parts using electric walkies. This role requires dedication and attention to detail to ensure high-quality results in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the blast and paint booth along with personal protective equipment daily.
• Prepare objects for blast operations according to established procedures and instructions.
• Monitor the condition of equipment and tooling to ensure optimal performance.
• Clean and prep surfaces using sanding, scraping, and grinding processes.
• Use spray equipment (air/airless) to apply paint and other materials.
• Apply protective coatings to various metal surfaces.
• Monitor extractors, drying fans, and heaters for efficiency.
• Board and mask materials to prepare for painting.
• Ensure all paint-related waste is properly labeled, stored, and disposed of.
• Maintain the paint booth and associated equipment to ensure proper working condition.
• Ensure the job meets all requirements before leaving the work cell.
• Meet or exceed established production levels.
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures.
• Inspect all work before passing it on to the next operation.
• Follow all health and safety procedures for machinery.
• Ensure waste disposal complies with Health and Safety/Environmental procedures.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in manufacturing or production.
• Experience with electric pallets/walkies, no license required.
• Comfortable wearing an air-fed suit and respirator.
• Comfortable working in enclosed spaces.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with counterbalance and overhead cranes.
• Experience in assembly, hand and power tools, and machine operation.

Work Environment

Work in a medium-sized manufacturing company with 12 machine operators, 6 assemblers, and 4 employees performing general duties. The 12-hour shift pattern includes 5 nights on in the first week and 2 nights on in the second week.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Brampton, Ontario.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
