Senior Vice-President – Performance management
The Senior Vice President, Performance Management holds full responsibility for ensuring effective performance measurement. This role is critical in establishing performance indicators across the entire operational chain, analyzing trends and variances, and fostering a strong, accountable performance culture at all organizational levels. The SVP is also responsible for implementing and overseeing the strategic plan related to operations, in collaboration with other Senior Vice Presidents.
Their team works closely with the Vice Presidents in managing daily operations to achieve profit centre goals. Supporting the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and VPs in their leadership responsibilities, this individual plays a key role in driving operational improvement. They will oversee project services and virtual design as well as construction teams, by supervising the development of operations-related technologies, project controls, planning, commercial and risk management, and procurement.

Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Drive operational excellence to support the company’s evolution and deliver sustainable growth;
- Collaborate with all Senior Vice Presidents, the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the VP of Human Resources, and administrative teams;
- Lead the development, communication, and implementation of operational excellence and growth strategies and processes aligned with the operations team’s plans;
- Report on results and performance by analyzing and interpreting data and key performance indicators (KPIs);
- Foster a results-driven, responsible environment aligned with business success;
- Provide leadership and direction to teams in pursuing and achieving the business plan;
- Create and maintain a collaborative and team-oriented work environment;
- Clearly communicate roles and responsibilities to all team members, monitor workloads, and ensure optimal resource use;
- Oversee procedures, standardization, and process optimization;
- Prepare the group’s annual budget and mid-year forecasts;
- Participate in Executive meetings.
Performance Management
- Be a key driver of performance management by fostering a collaborative, performance-oriented culture;
- Develop KPIs to measure and optimize productivity across the entire operations chain : proposals, estimating, execution, and project closure;
- Develop and implement a structured continuous improvement approach (LEAN, process management);
- Establish a data-driven management culture by developing decision-support tools (statistics, trend analysis);
- Collaborate closely with corporate teams to improve operational performance.
Strategic Plan Management
- Lead operational actions within EBC’s strategic plan and ensure implementation;
- Track strategic action plans and make necessary decisions to meet obligations to senior management and the Board of Directors;
- Develop KPIs to measure the progress of operational initiatives within the strategic plan;
- Evaluate gaps and propose improvement solutions to ensure actions meet strategic objectives;
- Collaborate with the designated corporate lead responsible for strategic plan monitoring.
Project Services and Virtual Construction Management
- Ensure standardization and optimization of processes and procedures across all teams;
- Implement healthy matrix management to support day-to-day project operations;
- Promote a LEAN management culture within the organization : ensure LEAN philosophy is implemented in daily project and site management to increase productivity and support continuous improvement;
- Oversee implementation and enhancement of management technology tools;
- Coordinate effectively with corporate services to optimize cost control and cost review processes;
- Jointly lead improvements to the management system with corporate services;
- Actively participate in annual budget preparation and quarterly forecasting for the group;
- In collaboration with the Vice Presidents, define training needs and ensure their development and delivery;
- Lead and coordinate all project services to support operations through the following phases : proposal preparation, estimating, commercial offer negotiation, and project execution — providing planning, project controls, document control, procurement, commercial and risk management;
- Lead and coordinate all design, virtual construction, and geomatics services to support operations during the proposal, estimating, and execution phases — providing modeling, data management, construction AI, and surveying services.
Human Capital Management
- Manage succession planning and key position talent pipelines;
- Support skills development and training aligned with identified needs;
- Manage payroll and ensure compliance with corporate policies;
- Mentor and develop teams and the next generation of project managers, leaders, and culture ambassadors.
Requirements
- University degree in engineering, business administration, or any others related subjects;
- Minimum 10 years of experience in performance management;
- Strong background in managing complex projects, continuous improvement, and organizational transformation;
- Previous experience in structured and collaborative organizations;
- Experience in engineering or construction is a strong asset;
- Bilingual (French and English).
