Job Purpose

Responsible for monitoring product quality, documentation, and employee practices across the plant through on-the-line checks and regular department tours. Also responsible for maintaining and distributing technical production information to the production floor.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ensure manufactured products meet the company’s quality expectations and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality and food safety processes are followed.
  • Perform process checks during production, packaging, sanitation, and warehouse activities, including GMP, metal detection, label and coding verification, hygiene, safety, and record keeping.
  • Complete inspections and issue work orders as needed.
  • Work efficiently in a self-paced environment while meeting quality check expectations.
  • Ensure proper hygiene procedures and GMP compliance among employees, reporting deviations.
  • Follow procedures during changeovers and verify allergen controls.
  • Perform allergen swabbing and assist in validation.
  • Ensure process steps are followed, documentation completed, and deviations reported.
  • Verify product safety and specifications, including chemical checks and hold procedures.
  • Collect samples for evaluation and perform expired product assessments.
  • Log and organize samples properly.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned and adhere to health, safety, and GMP guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic math skills.
  • HACCP and Food Safety training.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Working Conditions

  • Possible exposure to hot temperatures near ovens.
  • Close proximity to others, with proper ventilation and safety measures.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting, standing, typing, and repetitive movements.
  • Use of safety equipment such as gloves, hair nets, safety shoes, and beard nets.
  • Ability to bend, twist, and lift up to 50 lbs.
