Primary Purpose

Reporting to the Team Leader, the Claims Adjuster, Auto is responsible for providing a high level of service by investigating insurance claims and negotiating settlements to the satisfaction of all parties.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  1. Manage desktop investigation of assigned claims, including obtaining loss details, determining coverage, communicating with insured and claimants, preparing reports, and negotiating settlements.
  2. Maintain accurate records using company systems.
  3. Review and interpret policy wording to confirm coverage.
  4. Manage billing for assigned files efficiently within timelines.
  5. Maintain excellent relationships with clients to develop business.
  6. Engage in continuous education on industry and legislative updates.
Additional Functions and Responsibilities
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education & Licensing
  • Enrolled in CIP program.
Experience
  • 1 to 2 years of auto claims experience.
  • Proven adjusting, negotiating, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills including Office, Outlook, and web applications.
Skills & Knowledge
  • Passion for customer service.
  • Demonstrated adjusting and negotiating skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
