Qualifications

Job description

Position Summary
CLXT opportunity now available in beautiful Castlegar, B.C. If you have successfully completed a recognized Combined Lab/X-Ray CLXT program and would enjoy living in this friendly, small town close to the US and Alberta borders, then we would love to hear from you!

The CLXT will perform a variety of routine laboratory, x-ray, and ECG procedures in accordance with departmental policies, procedures, and standards as defined by respective service and accrediting bodies. The Laboratory/X-Ray Technologist also performs routine and preventative maintenance of equipment and troubleshoots equipment problems as required. Days of work are rotating, and shift times are: 07:30 to 15:30, 12:30 to 20:30, 09:00 to 15:00.

Qualifications
  1. Graduation from an approved Medical Laboratory Science Program
  2. Current certification with the Canadian Society for Medical Laboratory Science (CSMLS) and eligible for membership with the BC Society of Laboratory Sciences (BCSLS) and/or CSMLS
  3. One (1) year recent related experience
