Job description

Position Overview: The successful candidate will be a safe and collaborative teammate, responsible for the efficient and safe maintenance of the facility’s equipment and machinery along with other duties as assigned. This is a weekend position with 1-2 weekdays if needed.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Inspect and maintain all processing and packaging machinery by carrying out preventative maintenance.
  2. Respond to breakdowns and other work assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  3. Maintain equipment parts lists and manuals, determining necessary parts required for routine maintenance and inventory to ensure maximum production time.
  4. Ensure compliance with HACCP, Food Safety, and GMP protocols, reporting any concerns to your supervisor.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of pumps, hydraulics, conveyor/auger systems, and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Experience in maintenance, troubleshooting, welding, electrical work, and mechanical systems, including conveying systems, pumps, and hydraulics.
  • Welding skills such as G. welding, stick welding, plasma cutter.
  • Manufacturing experience, preferably in a food manufacturing facility.
  • Prior knowledge of food safety and security practices.
