Senior Financial Analyst

This position is hybrid (3 days in office) in the Mississauga office.

The Senior Financial Analyst is a strategic finance professional who works closely with business units and is responsible for helping drive informed business decisions and achieve the company’s strategic objectives. The Senior Financial Analyst provides financial expertise, insights, and analysis to help businesses understand their financial situations, identify opportunities and risks, and make sound decisions about allocating funds. The Senior Financial Analyst will play an integral role in the leadership team, participating in the development of short- to long-term strategies. They will also support and/or lead strategic and critical mandates for business operations.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Manage and achieve financial targets and objectives.
2. Analyze and interpret statistical and accounting information to assess operating results in terms of profitability, performance against plan, and other financial health indicators.
3. Consolidate and present financial reports, including KPIs, highlighting trends, opportunities, concerns, profit bridges, variance analysis, and business drivers & actions.
4. Build strong relationships with department heads and business unit leaders, providing financial guidance and support.
5. Manage operational analysis such as costing, waste performance, savings, and footprint analysis.
6. Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements, providing recommendations for cost control.
7. Oversee business analytics and inventory management, optimizing processes and reporting for strategic decisions.
8. Support Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) to align demand with strategic and operational plans.
9. Approve pricing recommendations, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation, and monitor performance using KPIs.
10. Lead working capital reporting and improvement actions.
11. Oversee procurement savings.
12. Assist with financial forecasting and budgeting, including preparing budgets, strategic reviews, and management presentations.
13. Support financial decision-making and strategy development, collaborating with business leaders.
14. Support business development, deal analysis, and financial integration, serving as a key business partner.
15. Lead or support strategic projects, including capital projects, governance, evaluation, and post-mortem analysis.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in administration, accounting, or finance.
• CPA designation (strong asset).
• 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
