Packaging Machine Operator

Responsibilities

The Role:

PepsiCo has current openings for a Packaging Machine Operator.

What you’ll be working on:

1. Operators run the line.
2. Responsible for ensuring the machine is running efficiently.
3. Perform regular quality checks & ensure production needs are met in a timely manner.
4. Heavy lifting of salt, seasoning bags, and film will be required.
5. Operating computer-based machinery.
6. Handling stressful situations in a fast-paced environment.
7. Making quick decisions and being able to troubleshoot problems as they arise.
8. Employees are also required to be on their feet for long periods and to grip and grasp different objects such as boxes, bags of product, and pallet boards.

Qualifications

Who’s a good fit for the team:

1. Previous operator experience is an asset.
2. Successful candidates must have Grade 12 (or equivalent).
3. Flexible to work all shifts and workweeks.
4. The position requires excellent physical coordination and conditioning.
5. Good speaking and writing skills.
6. Ability to work as a team member.
7. Reliable transportation.
