Located in Barrie, Ontario, and supporting clients across Canada, we are looking for another member to join our dynamic Dream Team who is passionate about HR and driven to positively impact workplaces.

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic individual with excellent client service skills and experience in all HR functional areas to fill the position of Human Resources Generalist. This is an intermediate-level position with no direct reports. We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package in a mentorship and learning environment with opportunities for advancement. The candidate must have a coachable mindset and be willing to learn different approaches to handling various HR and employee relations matters. This role involves providing a customized support level to clients, differing from typical corporate HR departments. Therefore, travel to client sites is required on a regular weekly basis. As our team values collaboration, this position is on-site only; remote work is not available.

Key Responsibilities :
  1. Manage various client projects across HR disciplines, both on and off-site, ensuring timelines, accuracy, and quality standards are met.
  2. Assist clients with interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
  3. Support clients in understanding employment legislation, including the Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, Occupational Health & Safety Act, and Workplace Safety and Insurance Act.
  4. Handle employee relations matters such as accommodation requests, leaves of absence, absenteeism, disputes, and performance management, including layoffs and terminations.

The successful candidate must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with:

Education and Experience
  1. Post-secondary education in Human Resources Management.
  2. CHRP designation or current pursuit of the designation.
  3. At least 8 years of progressive HR experience, including recruitment and employee relations.
  4. In-depth knowledge of the Employment Standards Act and working knowledge of other relevant legislation.
  5. Experience managing employee relations issues such as disputes, leave, and accommodations.
