Overview

Connection Services has a fantastic opportunity for a Sr Inside Solutions Architect, working remotely. Excellent opportunity to work for a top VAR offering excellent benefits including 3 weeks paid PTO, tuition reimbursement, and opportunity for growth.

Working under general supervision of the (Sr) Manager, Field Solution Architects, the Senior Field Solution Architect (FSA) effectively drives solutions within targeted accounts and expands penetration in existing accounts. The Senior FSA develops and works on problems/projects of deep, diverse complexity and scope, exercising independent judgment within generally defined policies and practices to identify and select a technology solution. The Senior FSA acts as a project leader providing direction and facilitating information. The Senior FSA requires an acute understanding of both technology and business objectives of the account to enable the delivery of solutions that contribute to the success of existing accounts and the acceleration of new customer volume.

Responsibilities
  1. Utilizing business systems analysis, conducts assessments to understand client challenges and business objectives. Designs and presents technical solution configurations based on client needs and solution pricing.
  2. Collaborates with partners to design technical solutions as needed.
  3. Advises on pricing programs and deal registration.
  4. Serves as subject matter expert to Account Managers on technology solutions.
  5. Partners with Account Managers and Sales Managers to identify IT solutions opportunities and target these accounts with proactive engagement.
  6. Leverages Company tools to identify strategic prospects for advanced technology solutions.
  7. Engages in customer calls to discover and qualify advanced technology opportunities.
  8. Increases knowledge of technology in respective practice area and maintains or achieves certifications for professional development.
  9. Attends applicable industry and manufacturer training sessions.
  10. Achieves vendor certifications through online or onsite training.
  11. Works with sales teams to ensure that sales teams are fully enabled on the advanced technology solutions and are aware of the TSG portfolio.
  12. Executes strategic initiatives toward organizational, solution, and business development.
  13. Participates in a contributing or Team Lead role on one or more Solution Development teams.
  14. Works with peers on internal tactical development initiatives.
  15. Assists with the building of internal organizational processes and go-to-market initiatives.

Qualifications
  1. Advanced use of Microsoft Excel, Cisco WebEx, and relevant internal business systems.
  2. Advanced knowledge of respective practice area technologies and related product solutions (datacenter, networking, security).
  3. Pre-sale IT certifications in practice area are required.
  4. High aptitude to stay current and train on related technology areas.
  5. Account planning skills with experience in up-sell and cross-sell strategies.
  6. Articulate with ability to clearly demonstrate the value proposition to the customer.
  7. Adept at providing technical solutions based on customer needs.
  8. Analytical with ability to assess the customer’s business systems requirements.
  9. Action-oriented with strong executional skills.
  10. Self-motivated and results-driven.
  11. Excellent time management skills.
  12. Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication, and negotiation skills.
  13. Proven experience managing projects and delivering expectations.

  16. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Master of Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or similar with 8-10 years of experience.
