Job Title : General Manager, Trucking

Reports To : President, Distribution

The General Manager, Trucking is responsible for leading and executing on all strategic operational ventures related to Source’s internal Trucking (STS) division as well as our Last Mile Logistics (LML) teams. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate closely with Source’s Operations and leadership teams to guarantee the fulfillment of job requirements and key performance indicators (KPIs). This role will directly be responsible for budget and financial performance goals for the Trucking and Last Mile divisions, driving operations efficiencies and serves a key function in the growth of our organization.

What You’ll Be Doing :

• Oversee and manage Source’s Internal Trucking and LML Divisions to ensure that the company executes a best in class level of service for all its stakeholders;
• Provide leadership and direction to the STS and LML teams
• Work with dedicated leadership teams to drive efficiencies and meet / exceed set KPIs
• Develop annual KPIs for STS and LML business units
• Instill a strong customer service attitude at all levels
• Ensure the team is aligned in achieving the operational, business development, and financial performance goals.
• Monitor and manage operational costs, including fuel expenses, maintenance and labor, to optimize profitability and ensure budget adherence
• Instill a strong safety culture, driving the highest level of safety performance and service quality;
• Identify, develop and implement best practices and procedures for trucking operations;
• Continue to build a scalable business to adapt to changing market conditions;
• Develop and implement technologies that streamline business practices across trucking;
• Ensure regulatory compliance with drivers and equipment;
• Work with the maintenance manager to develop and maintain a trucking maintenance program;
• Complete Safety Fitness Certificate Compliance Course;
• Review and manage all required operating permits
• Develop and grow Source’s Owner / Operator operating group
• Other duties as required.

What Will Help You Succeed :

• Minimum 15 years of proven experience in the trucking industry;
• Minimum 10 years of proven management experience, leading and mentoring a large team directly and indirectly;
• Strong business development and technical acumen, with keen ability to work with all levels of field and corporate staff;
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in engineering technology, or commerce / business administration an asset but not a requirement.

• Preference will be given to candidates with previous work experience in oil and gas, logistics and / or related services.
