Job description

The Thunder Bay Hotel Collection is currently recruiting for a Multi-seller Sales Manager . This position works onsite at our properties in Thunder Bay, ON. The Sales Manager is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and managing strong relationships with guests while maximizing revenue for our hotels. You will collaborate with hotel teams to deliver exceptional guest service and achieve financial goals. Your role involves participating in sales and marketing efforts, converting inquiries into sales, and building guest loyalty. The position requires a goal-oriented, organized individual capable of managing multiple tasks and maintaining existing accounts while seeking new business opportunities. You will work closely with General Managers and the Area Director of Sales & Marketing to develop strategies and plans to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with or call on existing guest accounts to promote repeat business
  • Prospect for new business opportunities in the market
  • Sell and confirm business to meet sales targets
  • Manage inbound inquiries and pass leads to team members
  • Coordinate with hotel departments to ensure customer satisfaction and profitability
  • Develop and implement promotional projects to increase sales
  • Attend events, conduct outside sales calls, and organize sales missions
  • Conduct hotel tours and showcase services
  • Handle new business and in-house bookings, deliver proposals, and negotiate pricing
  • Organize client events and achieve revenue growth
  • Contribute to business planning and strategy
  • Work closely with various hotel departments to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Address guest concerns and coach team members
  • Participate in meetings, training, and travel as needed

What We Are Looking For

  • 2-3 years of hospitality or sales experience, preferably in a multi-selling hotel environment
  • Experience managing guest / client relationships
  • Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management or Business is a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and hotel management systems is an asset
  • Excellent organization, results orientation, and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Class G Driver's License
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, including occasional Manager-On-Duty shifts
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada
