Location: Various Sites in Whitehorse, Yukon

Position Status: Part-Time and Full-Time Available

Shifts: Daytime Shifts

Wage: No experience $19.38; with experience $20.50 and RSP Contributions by employer

Reports to: Site Supervisor or Client Service Manager

Job Responsibilities
  1. Provide superior customer service to clients and the general public
  2. Provide access control and security foot patrols as needed
  3. Proactively respond to and resolve emergency situations and conflicts
  4. Complete evacuation and emergency response procedures
  5. Communicate problems or concerns to the site supervisor
  6. Possess excellent multi-tasking, problem solving, prioritizing and organizational abilities
  7. Have knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations
  8. Perform all duties with high safety standards
Qualifications And Experience
  1. Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
  2. Must possess a valid driver's licence
  3. Must be able to obtain a Reliability Clearance and be minimum 19 years of age
  4. Must be physically fit and able to stand for long periods at a time
  5. Must be able to work in a range of weather conditions throughout shift
  6. Must be willing to complete the online Commissionaire Security Officer Course (CSOC)
  7. Must be fluent in the English language - written, verbal and reading skills
  8. Must have a positive attitude with a professional demeanour, and strong interpersonal skills
  9. Have excellent attention to detail to fulfill duties and responsibilities and incident report writing
  10. Have excellent problem solving skills with an ability to handle emergency situations in a calm manner
  11. Have the ability to work independently and make sound decisions in varying situations
  12. Have a demonstrated interest and experience in serving the public
