Job description

Do you have strong experience with large corporations and D&O? Are you a technical expert seeking to join a well-respected brokerage and build a legacy? Then this role is for you!

Our client in Burnaby, BC, is seeking a strong technical broker to work closely with the Producer and help build a new division. This is a fantastic opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a new area within a well-established brokerage.

Our client is working exclusively with associations to break new ground, and this Practice Leader will be strategically involved in building marketing materials and working with these associations. If you are not in the Vancouver area, no problem! You can work remotely with periodic travel to BC or from their Ontario office if you are in the East.

Ideally, you have:

  • Minimum 7 years experience placing D&O risks
  • Understanding of how to assess, structure, market, and place professional liability coverage for private and publicly traded entities

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping build out a D&O team
  • Preparing submissions
  • Performing due diligence and gap analysis on wordings
  • Accessing and presenting benchmarking data to prospects and clients
  • Leading marketing strategies, negotiating rates and coverages
  • Supporting producers with client and prospect presentations
  • Attending client and prospect events hosted by the brokerage
  • Collaborating on marketing materials targeted at prospects
  • Ensuring internal compliance and documentation for E&O purposes
  • Leading brokerage efforts for insurance market-facing events related to professional liability
  • Overseeing support staff for day-to-day client needs

Salary up to $200,000 depending on experience
