Qualifications

  • 3+ years in a Systems Administrator/Tier 2 role within an MSP environment.
  • Expertise in Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
  • Strong understanding of networking with configuration abilities.

As we continue to grow, we are looking for a System Administrator L2 to join our team.

About The Role

As a System Administrator L2, you will be responsible for delivering professional service projects with a primary focus on server and workstation support. Daily tasks involve a wide range of responsibilities, from end-user assistance and troubleshooting to server/virtual machine deployments, networking, cybersecurity, Azure infrastructure, and Microsoft 365 services, encompassing nearly the full Microsoft product suite. Additionally, the position includes a monthly after-hours on-call rotation, with occasional planned or emergency support as needed.

  • Location: 105 - 4020 Viking Way, Richmond, BC
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
  • Work Mode: On site
What You’ll Do
  • Act as a subject matter expert and provide escalated technical support for complex issues from helpdesk support teams.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis of hardware, software, and network-related problems across multiple client environments.
  • Manage and maintain client IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, firewalls, and security systems.
  • Conduct regular system monitoring and proactive maintenance to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues.
  • Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their IT needs, provide recommendations, and propose technology solutions.
  • Lead projects involving system upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvements for clients.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to recommend innovative solutions to clients.
  • Provide excellent customer service and go above and beyond for our clients.
What We’re Looking For
  • 3+ years in a Systems Administrator/Tier 2 role within an MSP environment.
  • 3+ years configuring Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
  • 3+ years supporting Microsoft 365, with in-depth knowledge of Entra, Exchange, Defender, and Intune.
  • AZ-104 Certification required.
  • 3+ years managing firewalls and security (Meraki, Fortinet, Sonicwall).
  • Expertise in Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
  • Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, DNS, DHCP) with configuration and deployment ability.
  • Proficiency in VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure cloud platform.
  • Experience with backup/disaster recovery solutions (Datto, Veeam).
  • Experience leading projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation and effective communication skills.
  • Solid documentation and ticket management skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  • Professionalism and a continuous learning mindset.
  • Great communication skills and understanding of business value.
  • Preferred: Experience with ConnectWise Manage.
